Important Red Snapper Update 2027

Beginning in 2027, there are no mandatory reporting requirements for Red Snapper landed in Mississippi,
and Tails n'Scales is no longer in operation.

Mississippi Recreational Offshore Landing Permit (MS ROLP)

The MS ROLP is required for each licensed angler to land or possess Red Snapper, other reef fish, and Cobia in Mississippi territorial waters.

The permit is free for anglers

The ROLP is available at no cost to the angler. Obtain or renew your permit online through the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources.
